FALLBROOK — Celebrated German-born pianist Andreas Klein will perform with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists Orchestra on Sunday, March 22, at 3 p.m. in a concert dedicated to local philanthropist Arlyne Ingold.

This dynamic first-class ensemble was assembled from the finest musicians around the world, performing under the baton of critically acclaimed violinist Lavard Skou-Larsen.

Presented by Fallbrook Music Society, this inspiring program features Villa Lobos’ "Bachiana Brasiliera" No. 9; Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major; Haydn’s Symphony No. 49 in F minor, "La Passione;" and Mozart’s Symphony No. 28 in C Major.

In addition to his concert career, Klein is active as a record producer for symphonies, choirs, chamber ensembles, festivals and soloists. He is frequently heard on National Public Radio’s "Performance Today" and on numerous syndicated and radio programs.

To attract and introduce television audiences to classical music, he created a series of short works by composers such as Chopin, Debussy and Stravinsky called "Intermezzo with Andreas Klein," which Advertisement

was seen on PBS television stations nationwide.

A graduate of New York’s Juilliard School, he studied with legendary pianists Claudio Arrau, Nikita Magaloff and John Perry. He holds a DMA degree from the Shepherd School of Music.

Fallbrook Music Society will honor Ingold during the concert. For many years, Ingold has sponsored the Society’s Symphony for Youth Program for seventh- through 12th-grade students.

This music education program has enriched students’ lives with classical music they might otherwise never have the opportunity to hear. On behalf of Fallbrook Music Society’s Board of Directors, a presentation will be given from the office of Fifth District County Supervisor Bill Horn, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors and the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District.

The concert will be held in the Bob Burton Center for the Performing Arts, 2400 South Stage Coach Lane. For concert tickets and more information, call Fallbrook Music Society at (760) 451-8644 or visit www.fallbrookmusicsociety.org.
