Vote McPhee, FPUD board

Thursday, October 30th, 2008
Issue 44, Volume 12.

As a former director of Fallbrook Public Utility District (FPUD), I endorse Archie McPhee for seat two on the FPUD board.

Archie has always been a vocal critic of wasteful spending and excessive management compensation, in sharp contrast to the incumbent.

To those who elected me to three terms on the FPUD board, I urge you to vote for Archie McPhee.

Arne Gunnarsson

As Jose Heminez once said "Oh... I hope not".

Be very careful, FPUD voters. RMWD has learned to its dismay that there is more to a good director than the ability to criticize. We have a director who was instrumental in delaying a necessary project, in the interest of cutting costs, until we had a sewage spill costing us hundreds of thousands of dollars. One man's "wasteful spending" may be the cost of staying out of jeopardy of even greater costs to clean up a mess.

Take a look at your water bills, folks! Are you sick and tired of your bills escalating? I have reduced my consumption, drastically, but my rates keep going up. I agree with Arne's comments concerning wasteful spending and excessive management compensation, by FPUD. Enough is enough and now is the time for a change. The greed, demonstrated by FPUD'S director, is not only wrong but THE FPUD BOARD is accountable and responsible for giving him so many perks and rediculous salary. Vote Archie for a change!

Keith Battle is a registered Oeanside lobbyist. He has never voted against an FPUD rais in water or sewer rates. Since he was elected FPUD,s sewer rates have almost doubled.
