Translate this page Good contractors are hard to come byThursday, October 16th, 2008 Issue 42, Volume 12.
The idea for the barn came to us six months before our wedding in early 2006. Liz suggested having our wedding ceremony in the barn. Where can you find a contractor who can develop plans, get permits and build this place on time for our wedding? There is only one thing you can count when working with contractors: delays and budget overruns. Well, we got lucky. We met Scott Youngren, a contractor in Fallbrook who specializes in remodeling and additions. Scott was great to work with. Advertisement The crews that he brought in were professional and courteous. One worker offered the use of his truck so I could move some heavy items. With our additional requests, the project came down to the wire. One week before our wedding the painters and floor crew worked through the weekend to get the barn ready for the big day. Scott personally operated the Bobcat late in the evenings after his regular work day to finish the walkways to the barn. Thanks, Scott!
