In the farm and garden industry it seems that new challenges, supplies and techniques are always sprouting up. Staying on top of the latest trends and innovations is Grangetto’s Farm and Garden Supply, well known for providing customers with up-to-date information and supplies.

For more than 50 years, Grangetto’s has made a positive impact in the farm and garden business, meeting the needs of customers in northern San Diego County. From farms and vast landscaping projects to residential backyards, this family-owned company has a tradition of excellence.

"My father, Ed Grangetto Sr., started the business in 1952 and we have been in existence for about 56 years," said Kevin Grangetto. "When my father started, he really only had two products: weed oil and tree oil." The products were used for weed and pest control for trees.

Last year, Ed Sr. passed away at the age of 94 but left a wonderful business legacy to his family. "My dad set up a really awesome business for us to be involved in," Kevin said.

The Grangetto brothers, Kevin and Ed Jr., pride themselves on staying on the cutting edge in the industry and are licensed Pest Control Advisors and Certified Crop Advisors.

Over the years, Grangetto’s business has grown to four locations: Fallbrook, Valley Center, Escondido and Encinitas.

"Our stores are very personalized," said Kevin. "We are a one-stop shop that provides irrigation, tools, pesticides and fertilizers that both the grower and homeowner need."

What has placed their business in the forefront, Kevin believes, is the experience they have gained in owning and operating their own 80-acre family farm, which produces avocados and citrus. "We can assist grove managers and grove owners because we Advertisement

are one of them – a grower," he said.

There are always challenges in farming and the expertise and extensive knowledge that the Grangetto family offers is an enormous help to growers. For example, Kevin and Ed Jr. had to address the tough mandatory water cutbacks at the family farm, which then allowed them to assist their customers with their own cutbacks and allocations.

While local growers are implementing water-saving landscaping devices, Grangetto’s is assisting homeowners who are seeking efficient irrigation as well. From controllers to sprinklers, this business has supplies to help homeowners conserve water. "Doing the small things can save a homeowner a lot of money," Kevin said.

Grangetto’s offers far more than just quality supplies. "It’s more than just providing customers with a product, it’s helping them with a solution if they have a problem," Kevin said. "We want to have a partnership with them."

Their expert staff is there to offer some sage green thumb advice. "We provide solutions for our customers and we have been doing it for over 50 years," added Kevin.

Whether a farmer or a do-it-yourself homeowner walks in the door of Grangetto’s, they can feel comfortable that experts will help them with their specific needs.

"If you haven’t shopped with us yet, give us a chance," urged Kevin. "If you have shopped with us and we have fulfilled your needs, please tell your friends."
