Fallbrook Pekingese’s art premiered at festival

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008
Issue 27, Volume 12.

YORBA LINDA — "Ziggy" Yao-Yap Ting, an eight-pound Pekingese that resides in Fallbrook with his owner ("mother") Elizabeth Monacelli, premiered his artwork at the ninth annual "Celebration of the Arts." He was the first dog artist to be featured in the history of the festival.

Ziggy began painting last year. Monacelli says they wish to raise public awareness for the Pekingese breed, especially those in desperate need of a home, like dogs at the Forget-Me-Not Pekingese Rescue in Palm Springs. Correspondence may be sent to Monacelli at liondog@chinamail.com.
