Friday, July 28th, 2006. Issue 30, Volume 10. Brandon Gallery, the oldest cooperative art gallery (since 1976) in San Diego County, has many winners among its members! At the recent San Diego County Fair’s juried fine art exhibit, Diane Adams won a 1st place award for her watercolor, "Escape," and Penny Fedorchak won a second place award in the same category for "Spiraling Out of Control." In addition, Mary Lou Zimdars won a 3rd place award for her collage, "Whimsey" and the gallery’s consignment artist, Trent Berning, won a 2nd Advertisement More recently, entries were submitted for Escondido’s Municipal Gallery’s upcoming show, "The Naked Truth," which will run from August 10 through September 6. Among Brandon members’ works that were accepted were Ralph Lopes’ digitally enhanced photographs, "Pink Lady," and "Emotions." The director of the gallery, Karen Langer Baker, was awarded 2nd place for her collage on a window entitled, "Unblinking" and one of the gallery’s original founders, Mary Tomaskevitch, received an honorable mention for "Ignorance."
