Friday, April 21st, 2006. Issue 16, Volume 10. Eleven local elementary and junior high students were named as 2005-2006 second team All American Scholars on April 1 by the National Office of the Pop Warner Little Scholars organization. To be eligible for All American consideration, students had to be in the fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth grade, carry an overall GPA of 96 percent or higher and submit a complete prior year’s report card. The National Office proudly named Andrew Arnold, David Handy and Justin Hukill to the 2005-2006 Football Scholar All American Second Team for sixth grade; Axel Eyers, Trevor Labanz, Richard Riddle, Cody Moyles, Trevor Salyers and Bruce Wallace III to the 2005-2006 Football Scholar All American Second Team for seventh grade; and Michael Mapston and Kyle Volan to the 2005-2006 Football Scholar All Advertisement Pop Warner Little Scholars is the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the United States with youth aged 5 to 16 years old participating annually. The mission of Pop Warner Little Scholars is to enable children to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment. The Pop Warner programs teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that children will use throughout their lives. Fallbrook Pop Warner will be holding football and cheer and dance signups on Sunday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fallbrook Avocado Festival.
