Last Saturday, ­­three Parliamentary Procedure teams went to Cal Poly Pomona to compete against other teams throughout the region. Parliamentary Procedure is a debate contest where six students hold a meeting using Parliamentary Procedure to run it. There is a president, a secretary and four other chairmen who debate the topic that is provided. As a team, you have 10 minutes and 30 seconds to complete debate, your required motions and an extra motion while the judges score you. Our novice team placed first in the region, our advanced A team placed first in the region and our advanced B team placed fifth. The advanced and novice teams will now advance to the statewide competition in Fresno next month. Congratulations to all who participated!

This Saturday, the Grange will be hosting the Season Show Opener at the Rider’s Field. Good luck to anyone planning on showing their animal at this event.
