Friday, July 28th, 2006. Issue 30, Volume 10. Circus Vargas, America’s Favorite Big Top Circus, has re-opened under new ownership, presented by Tabares Entertainment, Inc.! With the sawdust, spangles and billowing canvas, Circus Vargas is a time machine that transports its audience back to the glamour and heart-pounding excitement of the authentic old-time circus. After a hiatus of over two years, Circus Vargas is presenting an entirely new performance, stressing fun family entertainment, featuring performers from all over the world, working together under a beautiful striped Big Top in an incredible two-hour extravaganza! There will be no exotic animals in the new show. Instead, the emphasis now is on spectacular flying trapeze, hilarious clowns, the thrilling World Cup Soccer Fever on the high-flying swing, aerial ballet and much, much more! The Quirogas, the new owners, perform as the internationally acclaimed Flying Tabres, one of the top flying trapeze acts in the world. They have been starred performers in circuses all over the world, in Las Vegas and in Monte Carlo, where they won the Golden Clown award (the circus equivalent of the Oscar) for best circus performers of 2004, presented by Princess Stephanie. The act was created over 20 years ago in Argentina by fourth generation circus performers and brothers Nelson and Alberto. Tabares Entertainment, Inc., presents Circus Vargas in the Temecula area at Lake Skinner on Warren Road from Wednesday, August 2, to Sunday, August 6. Hemet area shows will be held at Florida Ave. and Palm Ave. (Next to Albertsons) and will run from Wednesday, August 16, to Sunday, August 20. Tickets are on sale by phone at (877) GOT-FUN-1 (468-3861), online at www.circusvargas.org or at the Circus Box Office.
