Base’s renewable energy site approvedJuly 22nd 2010

The system will cost an estimated $9 million that is funded by the American Recovery Restoration Act. The photovoltaic system will be able to produce 1.48 mega watts of renewable energy to the base, which can power nearly 400 homes. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by December. |

Nicholas F. Marano, commanding officer, MCB Camp Pendleton, and Sgt. Maj. Ramona D. Cook, base sergeant major, MCB Camp Pendleton, inside the base commander’s conference room, May 11. Each Marine competed against 500 of their peers to earn the base’s prestigious award. Simons and Gonzalez also received various gifts from The Marine Corps League San Diego chapter and other local organizations. |
